With that data, I want to do a check to see if the data is past some condition and if it is, I want to pop up a confirm dialog box but I am not exactly sure how to do this. Can I just make this a callback that has no input component, meaning no button or anything that triggers it, that I call from another function, and when I return from that function, return True if I want it to pop up the dialog box?
